Duchenne Ukraine opens an international children’s drawing competition to discover and celebrate talented children living with Duchenne. The aim of this competition is to attract children and young adults with Duchenne from all over the world to the art. With this, they aim to discover talented and persistent children living with Duchenne.
Share the work of artists
Alina Yashchenko, initiator from Duchenne Ukraine: “We want to share their works to famous artists and to society. To give the opportunity to Duchenne patients and their families to make friends with the other ones like them all over the world. We want to raise awareness about Duchenne in the world, and demonstrate that these children should be included in society.”
Invitation to participate
Every child affected by Duchenne muscular dystrophy is invited to participate. The competition encourages all patients, ranging from those who have just made their first drawing as well as the well-known artists. Each participant will receive a Diploma on participation in the international competition, and the winners will get prizes.
Drawings are accepted from 1st May 2021 to the 30th September 2021

About the Elisavetgrad gallery
“Elisavetgrad” galley operates since 2011 in the small town of Kropyvnytskyi, which is located in the centre of Ukraine. Mr. Mykola Tsukanov is a member of the National Association of the artists of Ukraine. He is the owner of the gallery. One of their traditions is an annual exhibition of all-Ukrainian competition of the children’s drawings “Happy child – blooming Ukraine”. This consists of exhibitions of young photo amateurs “Just an ordinary moment” and exhibitions of amateur artists of Kyrovohrad region.
